what if i said
that i wrote a love poem
and put it
on the coffee table
for 22 years
and never touched it?
then one day,
i opened the windows
and the dust blew off of it.
an image of her
now fully alive
is before you.
inner beauty takes time
and is a two-fold experience.
after all this time,
it looks like i’m finally ready.
How charming. Everything, really. Thank you for the smile this poem put on my face. 🙂
thanks for the comment and glad that you enjoyed it. have a great day or night where ever you may be:)

You too 🙂
This is so great…enchanting and so beautiful.
LadyR….thanx for the comment on this one. i got the idea from another presser from my facebook list.
it’s fantastic…a real gem
the message of the piece is this. after all the hardships of past issues, i have finally discovered my vision of WHAT i want. it’s too bad it’s taken this long to figure it out…*L*
I got that loud and clear…you wrote it so very well Don. Really well
Nicely done and coming to a realization by poem’s end is always good…
thanks sheila for your wonderful comment:) the message here is simple. all the years of hardship of enduring past stuff, i finally now have a vision of WHAT i want. it’s too bad it’s taken this long to figure it out.
I understand!
time helps create a fine wine Don, so open those windows and let your sunshine flow outwards …. even if it’s late, light up the night my friend ….:)
thanx for the cool comment Jimi. i’ve been working on getting some of that sunshine out a little bit lately. there are noticable factors starting to emerger. thanx for dropping by as well:)
